PHOENIX -- The Arizona Animals Welfare League needs the public's help in its ongoing efforts to place adoptable pets in loving forever homes. Specifically it needs foster homes -- temporary homes -- for pets that aren't quite ready for adoption.
Monika Sperke introduced Scot Pasmore to three adorable kittens that have a little more growing to do before they can be adopted out. They need a foster home to allow them that time.
Sperke said fostering is a great way to introduce pets into a home without making a long-term commitment. It's also a wonderful way to introduce children to caring for pets.
From food to toys to any medication an animal might need, AAWL provides everything. All they need is for you to open your home and take care of the pets for a little while.
Arizona Animal Welfare League is located at 30 N. 40th Place, Phoenix, and is open Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. They are one block east of 40th Street off Washington.
