LAKE HAVASU, Ariz. (AP) -- Students returned to Lake Havasu High School on Monday after staying home for two days because a student sprayed pesticide on school walls and dropped the chemical in at least one trash can.
The incident occurred Wednesday and forced the school to be closed Thursday and Friday to ensure proper clean-up.
Students and staff at first thought the chemical was a "stink bomb" because of the smell of rotten eggs.
A 16-year-old male student was charged with disorderly conduct and endangerment. He was also suspended and faces district discipline.
