Chef Dad's Chocolate French Toast

INGREDIENTS:
Texas Toast (thick sliced white bread found in your bread aisle)
2 Cups Chocolate Milk
6 Eggs
2 Tbsp. Malted Milk Powder
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
Unsalted Butter
Maple Syrup
Powdered Sugar (optional)

COOKING:
1)    First combine your milk, eggs, malted milk powder & vanilla extract in a bowl then whisk them together well.  Cover and put in your fridge until ready.
2)    Heat a large skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes or use a griddle and set the temp to 350 degrees.  Move your milk mixture into a small casserole dish.
3)    Once you're ready, melt 1 tablespoon of butter on the bottom of your pan or griddle and spread it around.  Grab one piece of bread at a time and do a quick dip on both sides of the bread then put immediately onto the hot surface.  Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until dark brown then serve by sprinkling some powdered sugar over the top with maple syrup on the side.  Keep adding butter as you add new slices to the pan.

This amount of milk mixture should make at least12 pieces.

Cooks Notes: It's important that when dipping the bread that you do it quickly.  Drop it in the milk mixture, flip it over and remove.  Otherwise they will be wet & soggy inside.
