Teen makes camo quilts to earn Girl Scout Gold Award
Meet 15-year-old Fiala Richard, a local teen making 160 camo quilts for three units being deployed to the Middle East this summer from Luke Air Force Base. It's all a part of her project to earn a Girl Scout Gold Award, equivalent to the Boyscout Eagle. And, you can help. Fiala will be hosting and teaching seven free classes at Ultimate Sewing Place to recruit helpers to complete her project. Her first set of quilts will be delivered this week.
