Good-bye Fall Hello Summer

Today's Forecast

Hazing skies and cooler temperatures around the Valley this afternoon. The haze - is dust in the air kicked up and dragged into the Valley by the strong winds from Friday. It will clear out as we head into Sunday to give us more clear condition.

Tomorrow, high pressure begins to build back into the Southwest. This will kick off a warming trend that will send daytime highs to near record territory for the first half of the week. If fact, with Tuesday being the hottest day of the week, some Valley cities may reach 100 degrees.

Warmer than normal temperatures continue through next Thursday under sunny skies. Forecast models currently show a cool front moving towards Arizona by next Friday to drop our temperatures closer to normal.

        Twisters in Arizona?!

        Wednesday, October 18 2017 7:54 AM EDT2017-10-18 11:54:28 GMT

October has been off to a unseasonably warm and quiet start this year.  Most years, it’s a pretty uneventful month when it comes to stormy weather in our state.  October 2010 was a big exception, when we saw the worst tornado outbreak in state history.
