Have you seen all the really cool gift boxes out there right now? They've actually given me a whole new approach to gift presentation these days. Instead of wrapping up a plain box with gift-wrap, why not give a beautiful gift box and pay attention to what the recipient sees when they open the top?

That way, it's still beautiful but they can reuse the box and we cut down on the clutter at the same time.

Shopping for the perfect gift presentation

I was in my local card shop recently and found the coolest boxes in which to tuck a treasure for my next gift giving opportunity. Then, one of our viewers requested I repeat some of the techniques that I learned a while ago when I took a gift-wrapping class at Do Me A Favor in Phoenix at approximately Camelback at 8th Street.

So, I also picked up some pretty tissue paper and with some double-sided tape, that was all I needed for what was to become a beautiful gift. Using the pillow, fan and flower techniques from the segment (watch it right here!) you can create beautiful gifts on a budget.

Stock your gift-wrap closet with cute boxes and when you see great tissue paper colors pick those up too. You can buy a single sheet of tissue at most card shops for 25 cents or so. And often the dollar stores have bundles for; you guessed it, a buck!

Take a peek at the techniques and give them a whirl. Your friends and family will feel so special even when given the simplest gifts. Remember what we were always told it's the thought that counts!
