It's no secret that fruits and veggies are some of the healthiest foods you can eat right? But I wonder if anyone is like me - I decide to step up the amount in my diet and I find myself eating the same things over and over again. So, when I saw this study come across the wire I took a look - even if to just motivate me to "eat outside the box" and add in some new treats to my day.

I enjoyed reading it because, again, we all know fruits and veggies are so good for us, this just confirms it all and may help you add a new taste treat as it did for me.

So, now that I have all this new information, I had to try find a way to simplify it to make it more user friendly. So just think color. I recently heard a nutritionist say that a simple way to " health" up your diet is to try to eat five different colors of fruits or veggies a day. Here's another great system of how you can do that - think about the color of what you eat and aim for five. Here's a fun .

This seems to make it all more doable and can be fun for kids to try, too. Challenge your family to add one item from each color, red, green, blue/purple, orange/yellow and white every so often. Healthy and delicious!
