Brittney Shipp
The Forecasters
Brittney Shipp is not a stranger to Arizona, but brand new to the Valley.
She joined 3TV in December 2007 from Yuma. As the newest member of The Forecasters, Shipp is just "beaming" with excitement to show you what's "hot" around the Valley every Saturday and Sunday morning on "Good Morning! Arizona," and bring you the most up-to-date weather reports during the evenings on the weekends.
Originally from Los Angeles, Shipp graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles as an International Development Studies major with an emphasis in Communication Studies. As an undergrad, she worked as a general assignment reporter for Bruin News 29.
Upon completing her degree, she worked for a year and a half all over Los Angeles, as a sports production assistant at KTLA, a reporter at Torrance's CitiCable 3 and a news assistant at ABC 7 Eyewitness News.
She spent a little more than a year at KYMA in Yuma, waking up "Sunrise" viewers with weather and the morning segment, "Shippin' out on Sunrise," which previewed the best restaurants, events and locations around town.
When she's not researching future forecasts, you can find Shipp cheering on her little brother, Jerren, on the ASU Men's Basketball team. But when UCLA rolls into town, that could change because her other brother, Josh, is on UCLA's Men's Basketball team ... plus it's her alma mater. Tough choice to make!
Shipp is also an avid world traveler, having visited over 25 countries, including two summers abroad in Italy and a winter in Spain.
In her spare time, Shipp enjoys seeing new places, meeting new faces and searching for old school records.
