"Good Evening Arizona" reporter Kim Martinez moved home to Arizona from California in late 2003.

In Bakersfield, Calif., Martinez was the morning and noon anchor for the CBS affiliate KBAK. For nearly two years, she took a leadership role at the station, managing the morning staff. Her heart, however, was where her family is and that's here in the Valley.

Before moving to Bakersfield, Martinez was the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. anchor for the CBS affiliate in Yuma. She also covered major court and crime stories for the station, winning awards for anchoring and reporting along the way.

Martinez's hobbies include snowboarding, wakeboarding and dirt biking. She grew up in Flagstaff, graduated from Northern Arizona University and is happy to be back in her home state.
