Patti Kirkpatrick

Patti Kirkpatrick, who co-anchored the first all-female news anchor team in Phoenix, is currently the "Good Evening Arizona" anchor for 3TV.

Kirkpatrick is a veteran journalist with 20 years of experience in television news. She has worked both behind and in front of the camera. Since coming to Phoenix in 1985, she has become one of the most watched and respected newscasters in Arizona. From televised Town Halls to award-winning documentaries, Kirkpatrick has worked as a reporter and producer as well as a news anchor. For six years, she worked as a primary weeknight co-anchor at KPNX-TV before moving to News Channel 3 in August 1991.

Kirkpatrick came to Phoenix in 1985 from Louisville, Kentucky, where she was the executive producer and anchor of the news at noon and 6 p.m. on WAVE-TV for three and a half years. Prior to that, she worked as an anchor and reporter for the Montana Television Network in Great Falls, Montana, and at KTTC-TV in Rochester, Minnesota.

Born in Carmel, California, Kirkpatrick graduated from Principia College in St. Louis with a degree in journalism.
