Gary Harper heads up 3 On Your Side, the investigative unit of 3TV.

He has 17 years of television reporting experience, which began in Texas. Upon earning his Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Texas Tech University, he immediately went to work for KLBK-TV (CBS) as a general assignment reporter and news anchor. While there, he was named best reporter by The Associated Press.

Harper was then hired by WZZM-TV (ABC) in Grand Rapids, Mich., where he continued his career as a reporter and news anchor. He remained in Grand Rapids for four years before moving to NewsChannel 3 in Phoenix.

Harper joined the NewsChannel 3 teams in 1997 as a reporter, and was promoted to 3 On Your Side in the fall of 2003.

Harper, who is happy to call Phoenix his home, is married and has two young boys.
