Dan Davis
"GMAZ" Anchor
Dan Davis is a five-time Emmy®-nominated (with one Emmy® statue to his credit) anchor on "Good Morning Arizona."
He's been at 3TV for almost 27 years, and June 6, 2007, will mark his milestone 30th year on television in Arizona.
He begins his day at 3 a.m., searching the Internet for unusual stories no one has heard before. He likes to say he specializes in information you don't have to write down.
Davis was inducted into the prestigious Emmy Silver Circle for his long and dedicated career.
He has hosted 3TV's "Brainstorm," a fun and educational science show for kids ages 9 to12 that feels nothing like homework.
Davis is also the go-to guy on "Good Morning Arizona," filling in anywhere, especially on the weather when Brad is off ... or late for work.
Davis began his career at KNAZ in Flagstaff in 1977, following graduation from Ohio University.
He first came to Arizona in 1972, right after high school graduation to work as a summer-camp counselor at the Orme School Summer Camp. It didn't take him long to figure out Arizona was going to be his home for a long time.
Davis is originally from Marion, Ohio, and is married to Cathy. They have two high school-age children, Torrie and Kyle.
