Breding spent nine years at KTVK, 1984-1993. During thay time, she
earned numerous awards, including three Emmys.
For the past several years, Breding has worked in the city where she was
born -- Los Angeles. As a news reporter in our nation's second-largest
city, she covered stories from serious crimes and devastating natural
disasters to high-profile features such as the Tournament of Roses
parade. She also covered visits of world leaders, including former
President Bill Clinton. In addition, Breding has interviewed well-known
figures such as the Rev. Jesse Jackson and former Vice President Al Gore.
Working in the heart of Hollywood, she's interviewed hundreds of
celebrities, including Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Gwyneth
Paltrow and Celine Dion. Breding has been a part of Academy Awards
coverage on Oscar night.
Breding was seen reporting nationwide during the El Niño rainstorms as a
special correspondent for The Weather Channel.
Breding followed her husband from L.A. to his new job in Phoenix last
summer, and is happy to be back among her old friends at 3TV.
Breding has three children who think watching their mom on TV is "just
OK." What really impresses them is that many years ago, their mom was a
lifeguard.
After a seven-year absence, Sue Breding is back at NewsChannel 3.
